Asian Swordfish Lo Mein with Vegetables

Asian Swordfish


Hoisin Sauce, 1 Tablespoon
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon of sweet chilli paste
1 clove of garlic crushed
Half a teaspoon of sesame oil
Rice vinegar, 2 tablespoons
One teaspoon of sugar


Mix the sauce ingredients together in a small dish.

Brush the top half of the sauce on the fillets.

Grill the swordfish fillets for 15 minutes. Flip them over half way through.

The following are some examples of how to use

Cook the fish fillets on both sides in a non-stick pan heated with oil until they are just cooked.

Pour the remaining sauce on top of the fish and serve.

Vegetable Lo Mein


6 oz pkg lo mein noodles
Sesame Oil
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
Canola oil 2 tablespoons
Fresh ginger minced to 2 tablespoons
4 teaspoons of minced garlic (about three cloves)
1 julienne carrot
1 celery stalk thinly sliced
Half a cup of thinly sliced red onions
Can of 15 oz bean sprouts, drained and rinsed
8 oz bamboo shoots can, rinsed and drained
8 oz can of sliced water chestnuts that have been rinsed and drained
Three tablespoons of chopped fresh cilantro


Lo Mein noodles can be cooked in salted boiling water until they are al dente. Drain. To prevent sticking, lightly toss with sesame oil.
