Eden Brew, an Australian precision fermenting company, has raised $24.4mn in a Series-A round led by Main Sequence Ventures. The money is being used to launch animal-free dairy products in the market for alternative proteins.
Eden Brew is a new beverage that was launched in 2021 by a partnership of Norco, a 100 percent Australian dairy cooperative owned by farmers, with the Australian science agency CSIRO.

The company Uses a precision fermenting process based upon science know-how created by CSIRO. The company claims its platform produces casein proteins that deliver the same nutrition, functionalites, sensory qualities and bioavailability as cow’s milk. Eden Brew raised an additional $6.9million in May 2022 from Main Sequence, a US-based investor and Digitalis Venture.
The round also includes Breakthrough Victoria as well as Orkla, Digitalis Ventures and Possible Ventures. The company also received capital from Australian celebrities including the musicians Bernard Fanning, Angus Stone and Paul Piticco. Paralympic gold-medallist Dylan Alcott was also a part of this investment.
