Isn’t pot pie just the epitome of cozy comfort food? A rich, savory sauce envelops every piece of meat and is nestled under a flaky pastry. The vegetables are wonderful, too, but that’s not why I’m making this easy beef pot pie recipe.

The boys at my table don’t think about the vegetables too much when it comes to beef pot pies. They love steak in pot pies almost as much as in chili. Let me tell you, it makes the meal.

Ground Beef Pot Pie

This recipe calls for steak. However, you can easily make it with ground beef. The flavors would be similar.

As a result, I recommend that you make the recipe as written using steak. It is amazing to taste the texture of a properly seared steak in a pot pie.
