
Ingredients
12 oz lean ground beef, formed into 2-½ inch thick burgers
Steak seasoning
Salt and pepper to your taste
2 slices sweet onion, cut into ½-inch thick slices
4 slices American cheese
Olive Oil, 1 Tablespoon
2 hamburger bums. toasted
Ketchup and other burger condiments
Directions
Heat the oil in a skillet of 10 inches with a lid on medium. Place the whole onion slices in the skillet, and brown them slowly. Then, flip the slices of onion over and brown them on the other side.
Sprinkle salt, pepper and steak seasoning on top of the burgers.
Reduce the heat and place the burgers atop the onion. Cover the pan. Cook for 6 minutes. Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook for four minutes. Cover each burger by adding 2 slices cheese. Then cover the pan and heat it until the cheese melts. Place on toasted rolls and serve.
