China’s Haofood, the company that was the first to use peanut proteins to create plant-based chicken in the entire world, is expanding its portfolio by introducing a new vegan product: black truffle flavor xiaolong bao filled with soup and peanut meat.  

Pork mince has traditionally been the main ingredient in xiao-long bao fillings. But, there are some differences.Haofood, using its extrusion and formulation technology, has developed a peanut-based product that mimics the texture and properties of steamed minced pork. The Taobao is the Chinese online marketplace where you can already buy new dumplings. They are among the first vegan alternatives for minced pork on the market.

Haofood was founded in 2020. It has been successful in China’s plant-based food market. They have launched a line of alternatives to chicken including patties, satay chicken nuggets and pulled chicken on a stick.
