Homemade Peach Jam is a favorite in our house for over 15 years. It’s perfectly sweetened, wonderfully spiced and has just a hint cinnamon.
Every year I wait for the peaches to be available in cases. Then I roll up my sleeves and set to work making and canning a year’s worth of delicious jam.
Several years ago, about the time I started this website, the summer’s peaches were very late getting to our area. They arrived just the day before my trip out of town. As soon as I saw that they were ripe, I knew it was time to make jam.
I looked around at my beautiful peaches, and I panicked. I knew that they would be past perfect when I got home. I was on my way to being disappointed; when Sean very casually told me that he’d take care of it.
Jam making isn’t difficult, I must admit. It’s actually very easy. This can take a lot of time, especially when you don’t know what to do.
I assured him that he shouldn’t worry about it, but if he really wanted to do it, I would set out the recipe and the jars for him.
