Mushroom Tiooed Pizza


Basic Pizza Dough {see recipe}

Olive oil 2 tablespoons
16 oz button mushrooms sliced
¼ onion, finely chopped
One teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon red chili flakes
Salt and pepper to your taste
1 cup prepared marinara sauce
16 oz mozzarella, sliced
Parmesan cheese, grated


Dor the sauce
In a large skillet, heat the oil and then add the garlic, mushroom and onion. Cover the pan with a lid and let it simmer for 10 mins. Then remove the cover, turn the heat up a bit and cook the mushrooms until their liquid has evaporated. Add the seasonings and sauce. Cook for five minutes and then turn the heat off.

Reheat the oven to 500 degrees F. Grease a 16 inch pizza pan.
The dough will come out of the pan if you press it to the edges.
Cover the dough with cheese slices. Spread the mushroom topping over the dough evenly.
Sprinkle with Parmesan.
Let the pizza rest for 6 minutes before cirring. Rest the pizza for 6 minutes.
