
Irish Plant-Based Frozen Food Brand Strong Roots Climate footprint labels are now available on all packaging, to assist consumers in making informed purchasing decisions.
Strong Roots has partnered up with Swedish climate company Climate to calculate its emissions CarbonCloud. Strong Roots’ intelligent software allows it to monitor and assess effectively the carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxide, and methane emissions associated with each product’s lifecycle, from ingredients to shelf to distribution. Strong Roots is able to use the data collected to develop an emission baseline, and a roadmap that will identify areas where it can improve its production process. Environmental concerns
Strong Roots conducted a study that found that while health concerns still play a role in purchasing plant-based goods, a large portion (45%) of consumers are motivated by environmental issues.
