I don’t know about you, but this classic is always one of my favorite comfort foods this time of year. While living in Europe, I had the pleasure of visiting Stockholm several times. I loved trying out the different versions of traditional meatballs with gravy. (In between eating a billion kanelbular) I always liked meatballs that were generously seasoned with spices like nutmeg, ginger, and allspice. They were also browned to a caramelized, slightly crisp exterior. And, of course, they were served with potatoes, gravy, and lingonberry on the side. The Swedes definitely have this classic combo dialed in — those savory, creamy, sweet flavors are just impossible to beat!
