This Thai basil tofu Stir-Fry is made with crispy pan-fried tofu, a sweet sauce of chili and lime and fresh basil. In less than 30 mins, you can have a delicious vegan dinner!
This is the time of year that home gardeners find themselves with a surplus of fresh basil. This year, I’m one of the lucky members!
Basil has a wonderful summer flavor and is easy to grow. I encourage you to try it out if you haven’t already. Don’t just limit yourself to the old Italian basil. Thai basil, which I grow, is one of my favorite varieties.
Thai basil adds a cinnamony and almost herby taste to stir-fries. I also use it to make vegan dishes such as vegan red curry and vegan green curries.
It’s not necessary to have Thai basil on hand to make this stir-fry. Any variety of basil will work, as each has its own distinct flavor.
